Uniform Reminder

This is just a reminder that the final payment for those who chose the two payment uniform option is due this Friday, October 23^rd.  Please make your $35 check payable to ACBC.  Students who paid the full amount up front ($70) have no amount due at this time.  If you are not sure of your payment status, please check with Mr. Ferguson.

Fundraiser/Dues

The chorus has many expenses, including:

$600 - $1500   Accompanists/Clinicians/Guest Musicians

$600                GMEA Dues and LGPE Fees

$250                All-State Director Accommodations

$500 - $1000   Music and Classroom Supplies

$100                Braves Game Bus Parking and Driver’s Tickets

$100                All-State Materials (Practice CD’s)

$200 - $400     Props, Materials, for Spring Show

$500                Financial Hardship Sponsorships

$500 - $800     501(c)3 Filing and Attorney’s Fees

$800                Program Printing Costs

$1000              Banquet Catering, Decorations, Custodial Fees, Awards

In order to cover these expenses, we are beginning a fundraiser this week.  We’ll be selling frozen cheesecake and cookie dough items which will be delivered in November. 

Some important things to remember when selling:

Ø  Target parent’s co-workers, church friends, teachers, administrators, and other adults interested in supporting your musical endeavors!

Ø  Do not go door-to-door (unless you know your neighbors and are supervised)

Ø  Collect payment at the time of the order; cash or check (payable to ACBC)

Ø  Gift Cards will be awarded to the highest sellers

Ø  Your goal is to sell 10 items or more

Ø  If you are not interested in participating in the fundraiser, you may turn in a check for $50 payable to ACBC instead (or you can do both!)

Parents of Choral Students,

          The formal wear for concerts has now been selected by a committee of students and parents.  Girls will wear a floor length black dress, black closed-toe shoes, black hose and a white pearl necklace.  Boys will wear black tuxedo pants, black show shirt, black tie and black socks and shoes.

          The cost will be $70 (for both boys and girls) which covers the dress and pearls for the girls and pants, shirt and tie for the boys.  Students will need to provide their own hose, socks and shoes.

We will have 2 payment options:

1.    $70 paid upfront by September 25^th

2.    $35 paid by September 25 and $35 paid by October 23^rd

*Checks made payable to ACBC (Archer Choral Booster Club)

          Measurements will be taken next week during class.  The order will be sent in on September 25^th.

          Since our formal wear will not be ready for our first concert on October 6^th, I would like students to wear plain white shirts and black pants with black socks and shoes.  It is hoped that this is something that is already in every child’s wardrobe and would not have to be purchased.
